Sometimes I have dreams that leave me confused when I wake up. Mostly because the events that occur within the dream feel like they happened the same day just before I went to sleep. These dreams tend to consist of mundane task that I usually do during the day. These task usually get interrupted by odd events that catch my attention, make me fixate on them and then end in a loud noise (sudden feeling? sensation?).
This one time I was wandering through my home going up and down the stairs multiple times. I was alone (or at least it felt like it). I remember carrying an object in my hand (a bottle, a flask?). During my laps going up and down the stairs I would go pass multiple windows (that matched my home’s layout). While walking pass one of these windows, specifically the one that allows me to look at my neighbor’s rooftop, I felt the immense urge to stare at it. And it didn’t took long to figure out why.
Out in the distance where I would normally see my neighbor’s rooftop, there was nothing. Empty. Void. As dark as it can be. However, something in the darkness caught my eye, a pair of bright eyes, not of a particular color, and a small silhouette with the shape of a thing (a cat?). At first I thought it was my cat, he likes that place, but the more I stare at it the more I realize it wasn’t it. In fact this thing didn’t look real, it was flat like a .jpg and it was covered with what it look like TV static noise.
This thing wouldn’t move which is what made it extremely uncanny. In real life, everything around us moves even if it appears still. Apart from the weirdness of it’s stillness, the little creature didn’t look nor feel threatening.
After staring at it for a good amount of time, being perplexed by how “fake” and “glitchy” it looked, I heard someone call my name, which woke me up.
This may be a disappointing, kinda sudden ending, however that’s usually how it goes. One thing that I wanna say is, I love coming across this “glitches” inside my dreams. The surreal feeling that accompanies their discovery is something that makes these, otherwise boring dreams, exciting experiences.
